These programs:
• Train 120 nouns and 50 verbs in full-screen settings
• Expand vocabulary knowledge using realistic contexts
• Offer open-ended exploration and identification activities

Suggested for students (Pre-K-12) with:
 • Autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, language-learning disorders, and hearing impairments
• Also English language learners (Pre-K-6)

Exploring Nouns screen shot Product Description:
These all-new Sterling Edition programs encourage users to explore and interact with vocabulary items in natural settings. You select which scenes will be used and how many items in each scene will be trained. Additional Information or purchase.

How the programs work
The programs begin by offering instruction on each object in a scene (This is a horse. Find the horse). Then the student is asked to identify the nouns or verbs without instruction (Show me The girl is singing.). Once a student can identify each vocabulary item in a scene without instruction, the program automatically moves to the next scene.

These programs offer two types of reinforcement for correct answers: either the noun/verb animates or amusing characters perform a short skit using enriched language.

Automatic record-keeping
Exploring Nouns and Exploring Verbs feature extensive data collection for documenting student performance. Built-in reports allow you to easily track your students learning activities over time and ensure accountability.

This program is designed to train 120 early developing nouns using 10 engaging, full-screen settings. There is also an option to train 30 of the earliest developing words in 5 simple scenes.

Exploring Verbs Exploring Verbs
This program is designed to train 50 early developing verbs using 8 captivating, full-screen settings. The first four scenes use girls to illustrate the verbs and the final four scenes use boys.

Activities

Eight Activities are Available

Optimized Intervention
This activity tracks student responses and automatically guides the user through the curriculum. The program moves among three training levels, each with a different amount of instructional support.

Exploration
This open-ended activity lets students select an item on the screen, hear the word, and optionally, see the associated text and animation.

 Identification
Students are asked to identify nouns or verbs from selected scenes. You can choose any one of the three training levels.

Mixed Explore/Identify
With this option, the program alternates between the Exploration and Identification activities.

Testing
 This activity can be used to document pre- or post-training performance.

Three Supplemental Activities
• Word Introduction (Cards) presents a single word and its associated animation on a black background.
• Word Introduction (Scene) introduces vocabulary items one at a time until a full scene is displayed.
• Animated routines use enriched language to expand knowledge of selected nouns and verbs
