These new Smart/Ease activities for the Smart/128 from AMDi use scenes from Laureate’s Exploring Nouns and Exploring Verbs programs to provide expressive communication opportunities.

Product Description:
These new Smart/Ease activities encourage students to communicate about Laureate’s Exploring Nouns and Exploring Verbs programs and expressively use the vocabulary they have learned from the software. Each Smart/Ease activity set includes 6 scene overlays from either Exploring Nouns or Exploring Verbs. Additional phrases such as “I love…” appear on the overlays and students communicate by selecting words
and pictures.

Encourage Expressive Language
The Smart/Ease activities can be used in the therapy room in conjunction with the Exploring Nouns or Exploring Verbs software enabling students to communicate about what is happening on the computer screen. Students can ask for help, make comments, and practice using the nouns or verbs in short phrases.

Motivating Communication Topics!
The Smart/Ease activities also provide a motivating way for students to use their Smart/128 in the classroom. The activities encourage students to communicate with their peers about a topic of interest to them. By using Exploring Nouns and Exploring Verbs on the computer along with these new activities on a Smart/128, your students will increase both their receptive and expressive language!

These 6 overlays depict scenes from Exploring Nouns. They include over 75 vocabulary items from the following scenes: Farm, Restaurant, Playground, Doll House, Airport, and School. You’ll also receive a flash memory card that contains pre-recorded speech for all 6 overlays. Smart/128 required.

Smart/Ease Exploring Verbs
These 6 overlays use scenes from Laureate’s Exploring Verbs software to give students with communication impairments an opportunity to expressively use 36 early verbs. Comes with a flash memory card with pre-recorded speech for all 6 overlays. Smart/128 required.
